The European Health Technology Institute for Socio-Economic Research is an independent research institute aimed at developing data and evidence on the social and economic value of medical technology and its impact on the economy and welfare of European countries.

The Research Institute is composed of prestigious European universities (Università Bocconi and the London School of Economics), policy-makers and industry (Eucomed, the European medical technology industry association).

EHTI has been invited to participate in the 'Programma di Apprendimento Permanente - 2007/2013' that is was held in Brussels from 16 April to 20 April. This programme which gathers several partners is part of the European Education and Culture Lifelong Learning Programme 'Leonardo da Vinci' Misura - Mobilita (VETPRO).
